Microsoft Negotiations Ongoing

Posted by | 04.20.2017

Penn State's six-year Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) agreement is set to expire on June 21. The agreement covers students and employees, with the exception of tech services, for core Microsoft products. Currently, negotiations with Microsoft and other potential suppliers are in motion for a new agreement, with a goal to finalize and award the contract next month. Once negotiations are final, all stakeholders will be notified regarding any updates or changes.

To ensure the new contract best meets the needs of the University, Penn State IT consulted with numerous colleges, campuses, and technical experts throughout the past eighteen months. These discussions helped align negotiations with such key IT initiatives as OneForest, as well as determine an accurate product list and usage across Penn State.

Once finalized, the new agreement will help Penn State IT to continue to support the evolving technology needs of Penn State IT and the greater University community.
