As of May 7, 2014 Autodesk changed their educational licensing offering to a no cost model available through their Academic Resource Center (ARC).  If you are using Autodesk for purposes directly related to learning, teaching, training, and research that are part of an educational institution you are eligible to obtain it.  Details and an FAQ on this program can be found at the below links:

You must first check with Richel Perretti (rap126@psu.edu) in Risk Management to receive permission to agree to the terms of use from Autodesk. Notify Software @ Penn State you will no longer be using our license. Uninstall Autodesk software obtained through Software @ Penn State by February 1st, 2015.

This no cost software does not provide access to:

                      Cloud storage

                      Product extensions

                      Technical support

If your use of Autodesk software is not directly related to education or you want features not provided by the no cost version then you should continue to use the license provided to you by Software @ Penn State provided that you continue to pay your annual renewal. ??Software @ Penn State's educational license with Autodesk will expire on January 18, 2017.  Software @ Penn State does not have the option to renew our educational license with Autodesk once our license expires, so administrative users will have to work directly with the vendor to obtain Autodesk software after that date.
